Starting this blog has not been easy — and if I’m being honest, there have been moments I almost let discouragement sneak in.

Right when I was getting ready to finally get things up and running, my laptop started acting up. It would work… but it wouldn’t hold a charge. You know that sinking feeling in your stomach when something important might be breaking at the worst possible time? Yeah — that was me.

Naturally, I did what most of us do – I went straight to Google.

The possibilities were not comforting:

• Motherboard failure

• Faulty charger

• Dead battery

All I could think was, Lord, please… not my computer. Not right now.

I had just stepped into this new season. I’m trying to be obedient. I’m trying to move forward. And the thought of needing to replace an $800 laptop? Whew. That was not in the budget.

So I prayed.

Not a fancy prayer. Not a long one. Just a real, honest moment with God:

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

I asked the Lord to please let it be something simple. Something fixable. Something I could afford.

With faith (and a little nervousness), I ordered a new charger from Amazon and waited.

A couple days later it arrived.

I plugged it in.

And just like that — my laptop was working perfectly. Charging like a charm.

Thank you, Jesus.

What I’m Learning in This Season

Now listen — some people might read this and think, “It was just a charger.” And sure, maybe from the outside it seems small.

But I see God’s hand in the details.

Because here’s the thing: sometimes the enemy doesn’t try to stop you with big, obvious roadblocks. Sometimes the delay comes in small frustrations, inconvenient timing, or moments designed to make you feel discouraged enough to quit.

But God…

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14

What the enemy hopes will discourage you, God can use to strengthen your trust.

If You’re Feeling Delayed Right Now

Maybe your obstacle isn’t a laptop.

Maybe it’s:

• doors not opening

• plans not moving

• finances feeling tight

• or just the weight of starting something new

Friend, hear me gently:

Delay is not denial.

If God placed something on your heart — a dream, a calling, a step of obedience — don’t let frustration talk you out of it.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9

His timing is still perfect.

His provision is still faithful.

And the path He has you on? He will equip you for it.

My Prayer For You

If you’re walking through a season that feels slow, frustrating, or uncertain, my prayer is simple:

That you would see God moving — even in the small fixes.

That discouragement would not take root.

And that you would keep going, one faithful step at a time.

Because sometimes… the breakthrough really is just a charger away.
